DISTORTION Stephen Beachy
Reggie, a young, racially mixed gay man, on speed and increasingly paranoid, is having trouble distinguishing what is real and what is not. After exchanging his least favourite sexual act for ticket money, the young man finds himself crossing the desert on a Greyhound bus, bound for the City of Angels. He hustles when he needs cash or a place to sleep, but the realities that surround Reggie on his dark journey have so many layers of meaning that he's finding it harder and harder to separate truth from fantasy, dreams from visions, and hallucinations from reality. Distortion follows Reggie as he goes from indignant hustler to MTV star and back.
