An anthology of three short stories and two novellas that describe the experiences of young gay soldiers in Vietnam between 1968 and 1972. The stories attempt to fill a void  in the literature of gay experiences in the US military and especially the life of young gay soldiers in a wartime situation. The author himself spent nearly two years serving in Vietnam and came to understand that he was gay during his time there.
